KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Labour & Human Resources (HR) Senator Saeed Ghani has directed the authorities of Sindh Workers Welfare Board (SWWB) to expedite the efforts for timely completion of development and welfare schemes.
He said that Industrial development was amongst top most priorities of Sindh government where workers play their pivotal role by putting their hard labour. Labour department has decided to enhance its scope of social security net to maximum number of industrial workers.
Ghani visited SWWB central office on Wednesday and talked with a delegation of Executive Club of Trade and Industry Nooriabad at SESSI Head office. The delegation comprised on Kanwar Zia-ur-Rehman, Muhammad Anwar Tabbani and Saleem Durani, Vice Commissioner SESSI Asif Ali Memon was also present in the meeting. During the surprise visit of the SWWB Central office, Secretary of Board Shah Muhammad Shah, Director Admin, Salman Ahmad, Director Finance Anwar Ausaf and other officers were present in their respective offices while about 15 staff members were absent from their duties.
Expressing his displeasure over the absence of employees, Ghani strictly directed the Secretary and Director Admin of SWWB to ensure the punctuality of the staff as it was their prime responsibility, concerned officers would be taken to task if any employee remains absent from the office, he warned.
The advisor asked the SWWB officers for taking drastic measures to complete the uplift and welfare schemes at Karachi, Larkana, Hyderabad, Kotri and Noori Abad in stipulated time frame.
