CHICHAWATNI: Punjab Minister for Zakat and Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran on Wednesday said that provision of equal opportunities of higher education to the youth was imperative for national development.
Addressing a ceremony at Government Girls College, Farid Town Sahiwal, the minister said the Punjab government was paying special attention to new colleges in remote areas of the province so that male and female students could complete education near their homes.
This programme of the government would begin a new era of development in rural areas, he added. Director Colleges Qazi Abdul Nasir, Sahiwal Education Board Chairman Dr Anwar Ahmed, Controller Board Tahir Hussain Jaffery, Deputy Director Colleges Bilal Ashraf, Principal Salwat Maqbool and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
