The names of PTI chairman Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfikar Bukhari and of former PM Nawaz Sharif’s former principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad were placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) on Wednesday.
Bukhari is under investigation by a NAB team for his offshore companies. His name was added to the list after the cabinet committee’s approval. Earlier, his name was included to the blacklist and was later removed from the blacklist upon the orders of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Meanwhile, Fawad’s name was placed on the list of personnel not permitted to leave the country in connection with an accountability references including that pertaining to the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme contract. He was arrested by the NAB on July 5 and has since been under interrogation.
