ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) will be hearing Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif’s disqualification appeal on May 7, 2018.
The apex court formed a three-member bench comprising of Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandial.
The appeal hearing is set to be heard at 1:30 pm on May 7.
Earlier, Asif had challenged Islamabad High Court’s disqualification verdict against him.
Asif in his petition has appealed to the SC to declare Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) judgment null and void, adding that he had unintentionally failed to disclose his foreign work permit in the nomination papers.
IHC had disqualified Asif on April 27, under Article 62 (1) (f) of the Constitution for not mentioning his employment and salary in a UAE company.
