KARACHI: The Chief Justice Sindh High Court Ahmed Ali Sheikh on Thursday constituted a full bench to hear a set of petitions filed by different political parties and right groups against National Accountability Ordinance 1999 Sindh Repeal Act, 2017.
The CJ constituted a three members bench headed by himself, and comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice KK Agha.
The full bench will hear the petitions against the Anti-NAB law from August 22, 2017.
At a hearing of the petitions on Wednesday, a division bench of the court headed by the CJ had directed the National Accountability Bureau to proceed with the inquiries and investigations pending before it till further orders.
The bench had also directed the accountability courts to continue proceeding with the NAB references pending disposal before them.
The Muttahida Qaumi Qaumi Movement, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as well as civil rights campaigners had filed the petitions in the SHC against the law.
